Title IX: Therese VanderPutten Story

As we celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Title IX, we can reflect on how far we’ve come but there is still more work to be done to achieve the ideals Title IX set forth. Even today we know athletic opportunities at most schools aren’t equitable – that’s why the hard work of leaders who implement & create programs aimed at true equality is so important. These are their stories.

“They set the table for us to continue that progress moving forward”

Therese Vanderputten, Assistant Director- Facilities & Events for Kansas University Athletics. She is very adamant that the job is not finished and that generations will continue to level the playing field between men’s and women’s sports.

Ms. Vanderputten has gotten very positive feedback from many including the umpires while using Vidswap. A benefit of Vidswap for KU was having stabilized cameras across the board, in consistent locations throughout their season.
