SUPERSPORT AND PIXELLOT TO AUTOMATE LIVE SPORTS STREAMING FROM HIGH SCHOOLS IN SOUTH AFRICA

Together with Nashua, the Plan Is to Broadcast Games as Part of a High School Sports

Tel Aviv, Johannesburg, MayX, 2021. Pixellot, the world’s leading provider of AI-Automated™ sports production solutions, together with Supersport, the leading provider of pay-television sports coverage across the continent of Africa and Nashua, a leading provider of integrated business solutions in Southern Africa signed an agreement to establish a high-school sports network to serve athletes, families, coaches, and scouts throughout Africa.

Pixellot systems enable high-quality coverage of team sports without any camera operators or producers. The system automatically captures, produces, and streams games and highlights to any device live or on-demand. High school teams, coaches, and players will enjoy a vivid viewing experience that includes graphics, game highlights, editing tools, commentary, and the ability to share clips with friends, teammates, and family.

“This is a game changer. I remember when I was young all I wanted was exposure to be seen,” Said Lukhayo Am the South African National Rugby Team Player and brand ambassador for SuperSport Schools “But back in the day unfortunately I missed that opportunity. For me, as a rugby player who wanted a future in the sport as a professional athlete, it took me quite a long route to get where I wanted to. I think being spotted at a young age and given the opportunity will play a huge role in developing our future champions. Fortunately or unfortunately, I was in a small school that wasn’t recognized as a rugby school. I know how it feels to be unseen and not getting the opportunity to have a stage to display your talents. So, giving opportunities and grooming young talents will change their lives,”

“One of the biggest inhibitors for broadcasting more sport, at whatever level, is the cost production said Marc Jury, CEO of Supersport“The Pixellot camera technology is pretty amazing in that you effectively have one camera that you can seat on top of the sports field, and it uses AI to track the ball. So no longer do you need multiple camera man and women to be at any one particular venue”.

“School sports forms the foundation upon which, sporting nations are built”. Said Barry Venter CEO Nashua “The stronger the foundation, the brighter our future sporting stars can shine, and we’re happy and proud to be an integral part of this revolutionary initiative. “

“We are thrilled to announce the new high school sports platform with Supersport and Nashua let by our ITV our partner in Africa”, said Pixellot CEO Alon Werber. “As the leaders in AI-Automated video and analytics solution provider for sports, we are certain that many families’ sports experience will never be the same. In the US, we have already outfitted thousands of high schools and universities giving young athletes the ability to keep playing, providing coaches with the tools to keep improving and affording communities with the opportunity to keep involved”.

Pixellot has vast experience in the education sports market. It’s award-winning, AI-automated technology is being utilized in thousands of high schools and universities. In the US, the NFHS Network and Pixellot stream upwards of 70,000 games per month from more than 9,000 locations. As a result of the pandemic and the lack of fans in the stands, hundreds of high schools are joining the network every month.
