Pixellot, the leading provider of AI-automated sports production and Torneo Delle Regioni, the annual Italian football tournament for youth teams which represent the Italian regions have signed an agreement by which Pixellot will provide the systems to enable the broadcast of all of the upcoming tournament games that are not televised.

After a three year hiatus due to Covid-19 restrictions, the tournament will feature Under 19, Under 17, Under 15, and Female categories and will be held in Piedmont for the 59th time. Pixellot will broadcast a total of 114 games of the preliminary phase which will kick off April 21. Pixellot’s cutting-edge technology will enable fans to enjoy high-definition footage of every play, providing a seamless viewing experience thanks to the collaboration with Ideawebtv magazine.

Fans will be able to access live matches, results, updated tables, classifications, and other information on the official event website, torneodelleregioni.lnd.it. as well as via the traditional communication platforms, Corriere dello Sport and Tuttosport, who will follow the event on a national level. The tournament will be played on twelve fields in six provinces and will be promoted on all the social media platforms of the CR Piemonte Valle d’Aosta FIGC-LND.

Mauro Foschia, President of CR Piedmont Valle d’Aosta who heads the Torneo delle Regioni this year said: “After several years of inactivity, it is great to be returning in a big way, and the ability to broadcast the games is a major win for all fans of football in Italy.”

“As the major tournament for upcoming young talent throughout Italy, we are delighted to enable fans from all over Italy to experience the Torneo Delle Regioni in the most immersive way possible,” said Alon Werber, CEO of Pixellot. “We are thrilled to collaborate on this exciting tournament and hope that it will contribute to the development of football across Italy.”

Giancarlo Abete, CEO of the LND, said: “The operational agreement between the Piedmont Vda Regional Committee and the international broadcasting company Pixellot will ensure, for the first time in the history of the Torneo delle Regioni, complete streaming coverage of all matches, including those of the group stage. The hope is that this initiative can develop and consolidate over the years”

The event will take place from 21 to 27 April and will be hosted by the Regional Committees of the National Amateur League. The competition, which was last held in Piedmont in 2010, has changed its format over the years, but it remains an important event for Italian football.
