TEL AVIV & SAN ANTONIO

JULY 26, 2018

This prestigious recognition is based on extensive and ongoing Frost & Sullivan analysis of the global automated video production industry. Pixellot is revolutionizing the entire domain by building on the innovative application of artificial intelligence and video production capabilities.

Pixellot‘s artificial intelligence solution and state-of-the-art camera system enable broadcast-quality sports video production via a fully automated process, and its distribution platform allows streaming of sporting events that traditionally are unprofitable to be broadcast online.

Users ranging from American high schools and colleges to semiprofessional and lower leagues in Europe and Asia for a variety of sports including soccer, basketball, football, and ice hockey, who can now produce and distribute their games effortlessly and affordably via Pixellot’s high quality solution.

The company experienced significant growth last year, with hours produced increasing from 723 in January 2017 to 17,136 in January 2018. Pixellot expects to hit 35,000 hours produced per month by the end of 2018.

Production and Coaching Modules
Pixellot’s feed comes with myriad production modules, high-end graphics, automatic highlights, editing tools, and a play-by-play commentator. Direct connectivity to the cloud ensures minimal latency for improved workflow.

Coaches seeking to boost player and team performance use Pixellot’s coaching system, which has been successfully instituted by top professional clubs in England, Germany, Spain, Mexico, and China.

Viewer-centric Experience Using Artificial Intelligence
The award cites Pixellot’s AI, which results in an extremely cost-effective, viewer-centric experience: “A typical digital media broadcast for a sports game, such as soccer, requires more than five cameras, which makes the process costly for smaller sports leagues. There is also an exciting opportunity for AI to come into play for automating processes, which allows production teams and sports fans to concentrate on what is truly important—the game.”

“To win a prestigious award like the Frost & Sullivan Entrepreneurial Company of the Year Award right on the heels of being recognized by The Marker as one of Israel’s Top 20 Startups makes me exceptionally proud of our people,” says Alon Werber, CEO of Pixellot. “We’ve gathered an amazing team and fully intend to keep on as we’ve been doing, using our entrepreneurial approach to democratize production across the entire spectrum of sports.”

“Frost & Sullivan’s global team of analysts and consultants continuously research a range of markets across multiple sectors and geographies, identifying companies across the entire value chain of these markets that display true entrepreneurial spirit in creating innovative and potentially disruptive new services or solutions in specific markets,” said Melody Siefken, Research Analyst at Frost & Sullivan. “Against the backdrop of this research, Frost & Sullivan is pleased to recognize Pixellot as the 2018 Entrepreneurial Company of the Year in the Global Automated Video Production Industry.”
